Paul, a sent one of the Anointed One Jesus through the will of God, and Timothy the brother,
To those in Colossae, holy ones and faithful brothers in the Anointed One: Favor to you and wholeness from God our Father and the Lord Jesus the Anointed One.
We give thanks to God and Father of our Lord Jesus the Anointed One, praying continually for you,
when we heard of your trust in the Anointed One Jesus and the love that you have toward all the holy ones,
because of the hope which is being laid up for you in the heavens, which you heard of before in the word of the truth, the good news,
which is present unto you, even as also in all the world it is bearing fruit and increasing, even as also among you, from the day you heard and knew the favor of God in truth,
even as you learned it from beloved Epaphras, our fellow bond-servant, who is a faithful servant of the Anointed One on behalf of you,
who also made known to us your love in the Spirit.
Because of this we ourselves also, from the day we heard, do not cease praying for you and asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and in spiritual understanding,
for you to walk worthily of the Lord in all pleasing, in every good work bringing forth fruit and growing into the knowledge of God,
being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might, unto all endurance and patience with joy,
giving thanks to the Father, the One who qualified you for the share of the inheritance of the holy ones in the light,
who has delivered us from the dominion of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of his beloved,
in whom we have the redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins.
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation;
because in Him were created the all things which are in the heavens and upon the earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities; the all things have been created through Him and unto Him,
and He himself is before all things, and the all things have held together in Him,
and He himself is the head of the body, the assembly; who is the beginning, firstborn out from the dead, so that in all things He himself may be holding preeminence;
because in Him all the fullness was pleased to dwell,
and through Him to reconcile the all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of his cross, through Him, whether the things on the earth or the things in the heavens.
And you, once being alienated and hostile in the mind in the evil deeds,
however now He has reconciled you in the body of his flesh through the death, to present you holy and unblemished and blameless before Him,
if indeed you continue in the trust, established and firm and not being moved away from the hope of the good news that you have heard, which having been proclaimed in all the creation under the heaven, of which I myself, Paul, have become a minister.
Now I rejoice in my sufferings for you, and I am filling up that which is lacking of the tribulations of the Anointed One in my flesh for his body, which is the assembly;
of which I myself became a minister according to the administration of God which having been given me toward you, to complete the word of God,
the mystery which hidden from the ages and from the generations, however now having been manifested to his holy ones;
to whom God has willed to make known what the riches of the glory of this mystery among the nations, which is the Anointed One in you, the hope of glory;
whom we ourselves preach, admonishing every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, so that we may present every man perfect in the Anointed One Jesus,
unto this I also toil, striving according to his energy who is working in me in power.
