Acts3

Now Peter and John were going up into the temple at the ninth hour of prayer.

And a certain man, lame from his mother's womb, was being carried, whom they placed every day at the gate of the temple which is named Beautiful, to ask for alms from those going into the temple.

He, having seen Peter and John about to enter into the temple, was asking to receive alms.

Now Peter, having looked intently upon him with John, said, "Look unto us."

And he gave heed to them, expecting to receive something from them.

But Peter said, "Silver and gold there is none to me; but what I have, this I give to you. In the name of Jesus the Anointed One of Nazareth, rise up and walk."

And having taken him by the right hand, he raised him up; then immediately his feet and the ankles were strengthened,

and leaping up he stood and was walking, and he entered with them into the temple, walking and leaping and praising God.

And all the people saw him walking and praising God.

Then they recognized him, that he himself was the one sitting for the alms at the Beautiful Gate of the temple, and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that having happened to him.

Now while the lame one who had been healed was clinging to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the porch which is called Solomon's, greatly amazed.

But Peter, having seen it, answered to the people, "Men of Israel, why do you wonder at this? Or why do you look intently on us, as if by our own power or godliness we had made him to walk?

The God of Abraham and God of Isaac and God of Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his servant Jesus, whom you yourselves indeed delivered up and disowned in the presence of Pilate, he having adjudged to release that one;

but you yourselves denied the Holy and Righteous One, and requested a man, a murderer, to be granted to you,

and you killed the Author of life, whom God has raised up out from the dead, whereof we ourselves are witnesses.

And on the trust in his name, this man whom you see and know, his name has strengthened; and the trust which is through Him has given to him this complete soundness before you all.

And now, brothers, I know that in ignorance you acted, as also your rulers;

but God, who foretold through the mouth of all the prophets the suffering of his Anointed One, has thus fulfilled it.

Therefore change your heart and turn again, for the blotting out of your sins,

so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that He may send the One appointed to you, the Anointed One Jesus,

whom heaven indeed it behooves to receive until the times of restoration of all things, of which God spoke through the mouth of all his holy prophets from the age.

For Moses indeed said to the fathers that "A prophet to you the Lord your God will raise up out from your brothers, like me; to Him you will listen in all things, as much as He may say to you.

Now it will be that every being who will not listen to that prophet will be utterly destroyed out from the people."

And now all the prophets from Samuel and those subsequently, as many as spoke, also told of these days.

You yourselves are the sons of the prophets and of the covenant that God made with your fathers, saying to Abraham, "And in your seed will be blessed all the families of the land."

To you first God, having raised up his servant Jesus, sent Him, blessing you in the turning away of each from your wickednesses.
