2 Timothy4

1Therefore I myself earnestly declare before God and the Lord, the Anointed One Jesus, who is about to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom:

2Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; convict, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and with instruction.

3For there will be an appointed-time when they will not endure the sound teaching, but according to their own desires they will gather around themselves teachers having an itching ear;

4And indeed they will turn away their hearing from the truth, but they will be turned aside unto the myths.

5But you yourself, be sober in all things, endure afflictions, perform the work of an evangelist, fully carry out your ministry.

6For I myself am already being poured out, and the appointed-time of my departure has come.

7The good fight I have fought, the race I have finished, the trust I have kept;

8From now on there is laid up for me the wreath of righteousness, which the Lord will award to me in that very day, the righteous judge; and not only to me, but also to all those already loving his appearing.

9Be diligent to come to me soon.

10For Demas has deserted me, when he had loved the present age, and he has gone to Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, and Titus to Dalmatia;

11Luke alone is with me. Having taken Mark, bring him with yourself; for he is useful to me for the ministry.

12But Tychicus I have sent to Ephesus.

13The cloak that I left in Troas with Carpus, bring upon coming, and the books, especially the parchments.

14Alexander the coppersmith did great harm to me; the Lord will render to him according to his deeds;

15Of whom you yourself also beware; for he has exceedingly opposed our own message.

16But in the first of my defense no one attended me; all deserted me; may it not be charged to them!

17But the Lord stood by me and strengthened me, so that through me the proclamation may be fully accomplished, and all the nations may hear; and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

18And the Lord will deliver me from every evil deed and will bring me safely into his heavenly kingdom; to whom is the glory unto the ages and ever, Amen.

19Greet Prisca and Aquila and the house of Onesiphorus.

20Erastus remained in Corinth; but Trophimus I left in Miletus ailing.

21Be eager to come before winter. Eubulus greets you, and Pudens and Linus and Claudia and all the brothers.

22The Lord Jesus, the Anointed One, be with your spirit. The favor be with you all. Amen. To Timothy, the second epistle, of the Ephesian assembly the first overseer having been chosen. It was written from Rome, when for the second time Paul stood before Caesar Nero.
