However, realize this, that in the last days difficult times will be present.
For the men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy,
unloving, implacable, slanderous, without self-control, savage, without love of good,
treacherous, reckless, puffed up, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
but having a form of godliness, already denying its power. And these turn yourself away from.
For out of this sort are those entering into the households and capturing the weak women burdened with sins, being led away by various passions,
always learning and never being able to come to a knowledge of the truth.
Now by which way Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these oppose the truth, men depraved in mind, disqualified regarding the trust.
But they will not advance much further; for their folly will be plain to all, as also that of those two became.
But you yourself closely followed my teaching, conduct, purpose, trust, patience, love, endurance,
the persecutions, the sufferings such as happened to me in Antioch, in Iconium, in Lystra; what manner of persecutions I endured! And yet out of all the Lord delivered me.
Also all those now desiring to live piously in the Anointed One Jesus will be persecuted.
However evil men and imposters will advance to the worse, deceiving and being deceived.
However you yourself abide in the things you have learned and were assured of, knowing from which people you learned them,
and that from childhood you know the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise unto salvation through trust that is in the Anointed One Jesus.
Every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for instruction, for conviction, for correction, and for training in righteousness,
so that the man of God may be complete, fully equipped toward every good work.
