Timothy6

As many as are under a yoke as slaves should esteem their own masters worthy of all honor, so that the name of God and the teaching may not be denigrated.

Now those believing, having masters, should not despise them because they are brothers; but rather they should serve them, because they are believing ones and beloved, being helped by the good service. Teach and exhort these things.

If anyone teaches another doctrine and does not draw near to the sound words of our Lord Jesus the Anointed One and the teaching according to godliness,

he has been puffed up, knowing nothing, unhealthy about controversies and disputes about words, out of which come envy, strife, slander, evil suspicions,

and constant frictions among men corrupted in the mind and defrauded of the truth, holding the godliness to be a means of gain; depart from one of such.

However godliness with contentment is great gain.

For we brought no thing into the world, evident because neither are we able to carry anything out;

however, having sustenance and coverings, with these we will be content.

However those desiring to be rich fall into temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful desires, which plunge the men into ruin and destruction.

For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils, which some stretching after were seduced away from the trust and pierced themselves with many sorrows.

But you, O man of God, flee these things, and pursue righteousness, godliness, trust, love, endurance, and gentleness;

Fight the good fight of the trust, lay hold of the eternal life to which also you were called and did confess the good confession before many witnesses.

I charge you before God who is giving life to all things, and the Anointed One Jesus, the One who having testified the good confession before Pontius Pilate,

to keep the commandment without stain, above reproach, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus the Anointed One,

which in their own seasons He will display, the blessed and alone Sovereign, the King of those being kings and the Lord of those being lords,

the alone having immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no one of men has seen nor is able to see, to whom be honor and eternal dominion, Amen.

But to the rich in the present age, instruct them not to be high-minded, nor to have hope in the uncertainty of riches, but on God who is living, who is providing us all things richly for enjoyment,

to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous in distributing, ready to share,

treasuring up for themselves a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life.

O Timothy, guard the deposit committed to you, avoiding the profane empty babblings and opposing arguments of the falsely called knowledge,

which some professing went astray from the trust. Favor be with you all, Amen. It was written first to Timothy from Laodicea, which is capital of Phrygia of Pacatiana.
