Therefore, no longer enduring, we thought it best to be left behind in Athens alone,
and we sent Timothy, our brother and servant and our fellow worker of God in the good news of the Anointed One, in order to strengthen you and to encourage you concerning your trust,
that no one is to be moved by these tribulations; for you yourselves know that for this we are destined;
and indeed when we were with you, we were telling you beforehand that we are about to suffer affliction, even as also it came to pass, and you know;
because of this I myself also, no longer enduring, sent in order to know your trust, lest perhaps the one tempting tempted you and our labor may be in vain.
But just now Timothy has come to us from you and has brought good news to us of your trust and love, and that you have a good remembrance of us always, longing to see us, just as we ourselves also long to see you,
because of this we were encouraged, brothers, as to you, in all our distress and tribulation, through your trust;
for now we live, if you yourselves are standing firm in the Lord.
For what thanksgiving are we able to give to God concerning you, in return for all the joy with which we rejoice because of you before our God,
by night and day imploring super overexcessively for us to see your face and to supply the things lacking in your trust?
Now may God Himself and our Father and our Lord Jesus the Anointed One direct our way to you;
And may the Lord make you increase and abound in love toward one another and toward all, just as we ourselves also do toward you,
in order to strengthen your hearts blameless in holiness before God and our Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus the Anointed One with all his holy ones. Amen.
