Therefore the elders among you I exhort, a fellow elder and witness of the sufferings of the Anointed One, who am also a partaker of the glory being about to be revealed,
shepherd the flock of God among you, exercising oversight not under compulsion but willingly according to God, and not for base gain but eagerly;
not as exercising lordship over those in your charge, but being examples to the flock;
and when the Chief Shepherd was being revealed, you will receive the unfading wreath of glory.
Likewise younger ones, be subjected to your elders, now all of you, gird on humility to one another, being submitting yourselves, because God opposes the proud, however to the humble he gives favor.
Therefore be humbled under the mighty hand of God, so that he may exalt you in due time,
having cast all your anxiety upon him, because there is care about you with him.
Be sober-minded, watch, that your adversary the accuser, as a roaring lion, prowls about seeking whom to devour;
whom resist, firm in the trust, knowing the same sufferings are being accomplished throughout the world in your brotherhood.
Now the God of all favor, the one when he had called you to his eternal glory in the Anointed One Jesus, you having suffered a little while, he himself will perfect you, he will confirm you, he will strengthen you, and he will establish you.
To him be the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen.
Through Silvanus, the faithful brother to you as I regard him, through few words I have written, exhorting and testifying this to be the true favor of God, in which stand firm.
She in Babylon, elected with you, greets you, and Mark my son.
Greet one another with a kiss of love. Wholeness be to all of you who are in the Anointed One Jesus. Amen.
