Corinthians15

Now I make known to you, brothers, the good news that I proclaimed to you, which also you received, in which also you have stood,

through which also you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I proclaimed as good news to you — unless you have trusted in vain.

For I delivered to you in the foremost what also I received: that the Anointed One died for our sins according to the Scriptures,

and that He was buried, and that He has been raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,

and that He appeared to Cephas, then to the Twelve.

Thereafter He appeared to above five hundred brothers at once, of whom the greater part remain until now, however some were fallen asleep.

Then He appeared to James, then to all the sent ones.

Then last of all, as an untimely birth, He appeared also to me.

For I myself am the least of the sent ones, who am not fit to be called a sent one, because I persecuted the assembly of God;

however by the favor of God I am what I am, and his favor toward me has not been void; rather I toiled more excessive than them all — however not I myself, but the favor of God that was with me.

Therefore whether I myself or they, thus we preach and thus you trusted.

Now if the Anointed One is preached, that He has been raised out from the dead, how say some among you that there is not a resurrection of the dead?

However if there is not a resurrection of the dead, neither has the Anointed One been raised;

then if the Anointed One has not been raised, then is void also our preaching, now void also your trust.

Then we are found also the false witnesses of God, because we have witnessed concerning God that He raised up the Anointed One, whom He has not raised — if indeed then the dead are not raised;

for if the dead are not raised, neither has the Anointed One been raised;

then if the Anointed One has not been raised, your trust is futile; still you are in your sins;

then also those having fallen asleep in the Anointed One have perished.

If in this life we are already hoping in the Anointed One only, we are more to be pitied than all men.

However now the Anointed One has been raised out from the dead, he became the firstfruit of those who have fallen asleep.

Since for through a man came the death, also through a man the resurrection of the dead.

For as indeed in Adam all die, so also in the Anointed One all will be made alive.

However each in his own order: the firstfruit, the Anointed One; then those of the Anointed One at his coming;

then the end, when He may hand over the kingdom to God and Father, when He may have annulled all dominion and all authority and power;

for it behooves Him to reign until that when He may have put all the enemies under his feet.

The last enemy to be abolished is the death.

For He has put all things in subjection under his feet; when however it may be said that all things have been put in subjection, it is evident that the One who has put in subjection to Him the all things is excepted;

when now the all things shall have been subjected to Him, then also Himself the Son will be put in subjection to the One who put in subjection to Him the all things, so that God may be all in all.

Otherwise what will they do who are immersed for the dead? If at all the dead are not raised, why also are they immersed for them?

Why also are we ourselves in danger every hour?

Every day I die, as surely as the boasting in you, brothers, which I have in the Anointed One Jesus our Lord.

If according to man I fought wild beasts in Ephesus, what the profit to me? If the dead are not raised, let us eat and let us drink, for tomorrow we die.

Be not misled: bad companionships do corrupt good morals.

Sober up righteously and sin not; for some have ignorance of God; to your shame I speak.

But someone will say: How are the dead raised? Then with what body do they come?

Fool, you yourself — what you sow does not come to life unless it may die;

and what you sow, you sow not the body that will be, but a bare grain, if it would be of wheat or of some of the rest;

but God gives to it a body even as He has willed, and to each of the seeds its own body.

But not all flesh is the same flesh: one indeed flesh of men, however another flesh of beasts, however another flesh of birds, another however of fish.

And there are heavenly bodies and earthly bodies; but one indeed is the glory of the heavenly, however another that of the earthly.

One is the glory of the sun, and another the glory of the moon, and another the glory of the stars; for star differs from star in glory.

So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in decay, it is raised in immortality;

it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power;

it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.

So also it has been written: The first man Adam became into a living being; the last Adam into a life-giving spirit.

However not first was the spiritual but the natural, then the spiritual.

The first man was from the earth, made of dust; the second man is the Lord from heaven.

As the one made of dust, so also are those of the earth; and as the heavenly one, so also those of heaven;

and even as we have born the image of the earthly, we will bear also the image of the heavenly.

Now this I say, brothers, that flesh and blood is not able to inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the decay inherit the immortality.

Behold, a mystery I tell to you: all indeed we will not sleep, however all we will be changed —

in an instant, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we ourselves will be changed.

For it behooves this perishable to put on imperishable, and this mortal to put on immortality.

When now this perishable may have put on the imperishable, and this mortal may have put on the immortality, then will come to pass the word which is written: the death has been swallowed up in victory.

Where, O death, your victory? Where, O death, your sting?

And the sting of death is the sin, and the power of sin is the law.

However thanks be to God, who is giving us the victory through our Lord Jesus the Anointed One.

Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, abounding always in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord.
