Chronicles18

It happened after that, David struck the Philistines and humbled them, and he took Gath and her daughters from the hand of the Philistines.

He struck Moab, and Moab became slaves to David, carrying tribute.

David struck Hadadezer the king of Zobah toward Hamath, as he went to station his hand at the river Euphrates.

David captured from him a thousand chariots and seven thousand horsemen and twenty thousand men on foot; and David hamstrung all the chariotry, but left a hundred chariots of it.

Aram of Damascus came to help Hadadezer the king of Zobah, and David struck down twenty-two thousand men of Aram.

David put garrisons in Aram of Damascus, and Aram became slaves to David, carrying tribute; and Yahweh gave victory to David wherever he went.

David took the shields of gold that were on the slaves of Hadadezer and brought them to Jerusalem.

And from Tibhath and from Kun, cities of Hadadezer, David took very much bronze; with it Solomon made the sea of bronze and the pillars and the vessels of bronze.

Toi the king of Hamath heard that David had struck down all the army of Hadadezer the king of Zobah.

He sent Hadoram his son to the king David to ask him after his wholeness and to bless him, because he had fought against Hadadezer and struck him down, for Hadadezer was a man of wars with Toi; and with him were all the vessels of gold and silver and bronze.

These also King David set apart for Yahweh, with the silver and the gold that he had carried off from all the nations: from Edom and from Moab and from the children of Ammon and from the Philistines and from Amalek.

And Abishai son of Zeruiah struck down Edom in the Valley of Salt, eighteen thousand.

He put garrisons in Edom, and all Edom became slaves to David; and Yahweh gave victory to David wherever he went.

David reigned over all Israel, and he did justice and righteousness for all his people.

And Joab son of Zeruiah was over the host, and Jehoshaphat son of Ahilud was the one who recorded.

And Zadok son of Ahitub, and Abimelech son of Abiathar, were priests, and Shavsha was scribe.

And Benaiah son of Jehoiada was over the Kerethites and the Pelethites, and the sons of David were the first at the hand of the king.
